Barbara Barry’s Trestle Lounge series for HBF features a distinctive California-inspired silhouette that brings a refined sense of American Modernism aesthetics for today’s contract interiors. The collection includes a range of seating and occasional tables, with maple wood bases that can be finished in 18 options. The sleek upholstered sofa and lounge chairs in particular are held in perfect pitch on a trestle of beautifully tapered and tailored solid wood. Balance and proportion marry with elegant function when paired with Trestle occasional tables.

With crisp, no-nonsense silhouettes and a meticulous attention to detail, Barbara Barry’s furniture designs for HBF are inspired by the personality, history, and architecture of Southern California. While each collection has a distinctive look, one constant thread throughout is simplicity—something Barry strives for in everything she creates. Her Westwood sofa, loveseat, and lounge chairs for HBF reveal an appreciation for understated luxury and welcoming comfort. The extra deep seating design brings a cozy residential flair to contract spaces such as building lobbies and hospitality settings.

HBF’s Fulton collection, designed by Scott Wilson, provides a fresh perspective for seating solutions in the 21st century workplace. Available in rocker or lounge chair versions, Fulton incorporates gentle cushioning in the lower back and seat for maximum support and comfort. The inner shell can be upholstered in a contrast textile application, offering bespoke pieces that can feel truly personal. Fulton’s use extends beyond the office: the chairs are equally at home in residences as it is in hospitality or commercial spaces. The collection’s inviting shape and gentle motions make it approachable and timeless.

Named for New York’s eponymous hotel on the Upper East Side, the Carlyle collection is a series of three chairs designed by Kevin Stark for HBF. With gently curved backs crafted from quarter-sawn ash veneer for a contemporary, straight-grain look, Carlyle combines rich materiality with classic architectural forms reduced to their most essential forms. Offered in side, bar, and counter versions with a solid ash or upholstered seat, Carlyle seating series is perfectly at-home in hospitality design, workplace, and even residential applications.

Simple and refined with an alluring personality, HBF’s very own Enpointe stools celebrate classic Mid- Century design integrated with modern functionality. Sitting at the perfect height for hospitality environments such as bar counters and kitchen islands, Enpointe’s slender legs extend down in slim points, and its metal accents elevate the stool into an almost sculptural piece. The collection’s mix-and-match availability of materials allows designers to create customized stools that add a distinctive decorative touch to every setting.

HBF’s Essens seating family represents a perfect harmony of detail, material, and ergonomics. Defined by its timely yet minimal design, OEO Studio’s Thomas Lykke has juxtaposed rich materials—solid wood, metal, leather, textile—and created this contract office seating series that blends Danish sensibility with American craft. The wood seat and back evokes a feeling of comfort and quality, adding posture and refinement. The use of metal adds precision to the design as well as a sense of modernity. The Essens chairs are perfectly suited for a progressive office environment and even a WFH setup.
