Attracted to the pragmatic approach of 1960’s modernism, Space Copenhagen kept a simple, masculine, industrial expression in mind when they designed Social for HBF. This collection features swivel chairs, lounge chairs, and guest chairs—offering endless seating combinations with a cohesive look and feel. Available in various configurations—with or without arms, and various bases—with casters or glides, Social is truly built to accommodate every environment and function. Regardless of configuration, Social can easily be adjusted for whatever is needed that day, whether it’s a group break-out session or a private coffee and conversation.

The Brentwood seating series quietly evokes the grace and glamor of the Thirties and brings a new level of handsome tailoring and visual tranquility to today’s business interiors. With crisp, no-nonsense silhouettes and a meticulous attention to detail, Barbara Barry’s furniture designs for HBF are inspired by the personality, history, and architecture of Southern California. While each collection has a distinctive look, one constant thread throughout is simplicity—something Barry strives for in everything she creates.

With a wink and a nod to French design visionary Charlotte Perriand, Barbara Barry created the Charlotte Lounge Series for HBF. Shaped with a high back and wrapping the body in a gentle arc, this graceful seating collection brings an attitude for versatility and functionality to modern contract design settings such as hotels, lobbies, and office amenities spaces. The exposed wood frame option outlines the seating’s elegant profile, and further emphasizes its architectural lines without sacrificing comfort and style.

HBF teamed up with designer and longtime partner Michael Vanderbyl to create the Conexus lounge chair and ottoman collection. Conexus is designed to be grouped with multiple chairs around a table or in a private office standing on its own. Featuring a sculptural shape, durable upholstery, and slim profile, Conexus provides a comfortable and modern seating solution for collaborative work environments, lobbies, hospitality environments, and more.

Inspired by the classic design aesthetic of mid-century modernism, the Dialogue chair and ottoman provide an intuitive and purposeful solution for the modern workplace. Designed by Gensler, the chair features an integral task surface integration on the arm and a self-return metal swivel base offering extra flexibility. Its ergonomic design makes comfort a priority, as does the companion ottoman that prompts users to kick back and relax. While productivity oriented, Dialogue is equally suitable for casual conferencing or as a sculptural piece for lounges and lobbies.

Designed by HBF’s in-house team, the Max chair series brings residential design warmth to contract design environments. Its plush seating invites users to catch up on work or sit back and relax: the height and width of the square arm are designed to be comfortable for writing level or use with a tablet or small laptop. Max also boasts an optional down-filled, modernized knife edged back pillow constructed for support and comfortable posture. Max’s base options include a minimally constructed metal base to create a modern look or a softly curved wooden base for a more transitional aesthetic.

With modern, angled arms and a deep, supportive back, HBF’s Morgan seating solution provides the right balance of relaxation and structure. Available as a lounge chair, settee, or sofa, Morgan is built with a lower, shallower dimension and allows for an accessible and comfortable seat. The chair’s open base option presents an airy aesthetic and accommodates for easy cleaning and maintenance. The gracefully curved wooden base option allows for a more organic aesthetic. Morgan is suitable for any layout with a design that is equally functional in workspaces as it is relaxing in guest or lounge spaces.
